Online Class pt. 1

1) I think that WP2 went pretty well. I am really happy with the piece overall however I wished that there was almost less to write about. I felt like I was going to go over the six page limit. I also could have used a little more structure from the beginning instead of going back and trying to fix it at the end.

2) The comment the was most helpful is when they asked for clarity because then I knew where I had to work because something made sense to me but I didn't explain it well enough in my paper. Also some grammatical things that I completely overlooked.

3) I loved Monday's review session. I felt like I was really into the process of commenting and I was so focused that I totally lost track of time. It made me take a closer look at my peers paper too.

Painting Trees

1) Each artist has a very conversational tone with his audience and repeats himself so that the audience knows exactly what is going on. They talk all through out the process or step they have just given the audience so that there is not really an awkward silence or a weird transition to another step. They also provide lots of detail about each step. The mountain one included close up of the easel to show exactly how to have the paint on the knife.

2) The style is very calm and relaxing. Each one seems very patient and casual with his audience which held the audience through the process of painting because for many this is their first encounter and it can be frustrating.

3) They have described their moves in terms of pressure, length, focus as well as "your own". For example telling the audience that this is their own creation and that they will al look different means that if someones is awful then it is simply their "own vision" and "nothing to be worried about".

  1. !. I had the same problem! Like there was just way too much information in any piece to really hash out every little detail. I also had the problem you're talking about with structure, it's one of the toughest parts about this I think.
